hello,
I'am new to the forums and I downloaded VR.1 demo and i get this message when I try to start the game"unable to find game engine" can someone please help me

Install Direct 9.0C

I did

The error message your receiving has nothing to do with Directx.

Follow these intructions.

Create a new text file.
Open it.
Copy the following text into it and save it:

acknex_dx8.exe vr.wrs -D DX_8 -D language_english -D demo -nx 128

Rename the file to "start.bat" (and put it into your VR directory).
To start the game double-click "start.bat".

it still doesnt work

Then, download the DX9 start game patch, the very bottom link. Just put it anywhere I think, and then extract it and click on the DX logo thing. The game should load up, if it doesn't work tell me, I haven't played it in awhile, so its not currently on my computer.
